We acknowledge the Traditional Owners/Custodians of the lands and waters on which we work and live on across Australia. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We are committed to collaboration that furthers self-determination and creates a better future for all. Working on Kaurna Land

At TACSI, Euan combines three of their passions — design, networks and social justice — to unearth better ways of working together that create real change. For him, the best part of the job is connecting the deep wisdom of people with lived experience with other rich evidence, and using the insights that emerge to imagine new possibilities for people and systems.

Empathetic yet strategic, Euan naturally thinks in systems and uses that ability to help other people build their own systems awareness and leadership. Euan loves leaning into the discomfort of being a beginner, and strives to learn about the world through the eyes of others.

A recent highlight is their work was co-authoring “Building Networks for Systemic Impact” a paper which captures TACSI’s learnings from over seven years of convening systems change networks. The four patterns identified in the paper (Togetherness, Inbetweenness, Emergence and Wellbeing) felt like a turning point in his own understanding of conditions that enable change and reignited their passion for ‘how’ change actually happens. The paper has now been downloaded more than 3,300 times and is being translated into Spanish!

A design and pop music enthusiast, Euan is passionate about good typography and perfectly produced Scandinavian pop.

Euan's Message Stick

*A message stick is a public form of graphic communication first used by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Peoples. The objects were carried by messengers over long distances and were used to support a verbal message.

Euan Black's message stick shows an illustration of two women singing with text that reads: Tarnathi 2021, 15 Oct 2021 – 30 Jan 2022

The work we need to do to get to a ‘just’ future

The work we need to do to get to a ‘just’ future

In 2024, we initiated conversations with people who spend a lot of time thinking about the future to help us answer a big question: What role should TACSI play in the second quarter of the 21st century? Here’s what we learnt…

National Futures Initiative

National Futures Initiative

Introducing a new national initiative to create the opportunity for individuals, communities, and organisations to imagine a more socially just future.

End of Life Impact Network

End of Life Impact Network

What if all Australians and their loved ones had better end of life experiences: dying peacefully, connected, life in order, in a place of their choosing and free of pain? Our Impact Network seeks to achieve just that.

Health needs and priorities in South Australia

Health needs and priorities in South Australia

In a first of its kind, the Fay Fuller Foundation commissioned a piece of research that looks into the health needs and priorities in South Australia. Delivered by the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute and TACSI, this research is designed to take a holistic snapshot of the health system in South Australia.
