Working on Kaurna Land

Pippa loves to see people thrive, and her role as TACSI’s Network Steward for People and Culture means she spends her days striving to create the conditions for collaboration, connection, wellbeing and learning.

She has over 20 years’ experience across NGOs, and state and local government, leading organisational development, culture change, environmental education and community engagement initiatives that empower people, build capability, and strengthen inclusive, high-performing teams.

Pippa leverages her knack for creating a nourishing environment where people feel safe to share their fears, challenges and dreams, and supports staff to continue to tackle big social challenges with gusto, energy and joy.

She’s passionate about creating ways of working that support our decentralised, networked way of working at TACSI, where everyone shares responsibility, takes initiative, and stays connected through rhythms and routines that reflect our values.

Working at TACSI aligns with her beliefs and values around social justice, equality and giving people a voice in issues that are important to them.

Outside of work, you’ll find Pippa spending time with her family and friends, and soaking up the healing powers of nature through bushwalking and camping.

Pippa's Message Stick

*A message stick is a public form of graphic communication first used by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Peoples. The objects were carried by messengers over long distances and were used to support a verbal message.

Pippa Cattanach's message stick is a document titles 'Language and culture' with images of Pippa at a school and a map of First Nations language groups.
