Jemima Taylor (she/her)

Social Innovator, Strategy

Working on Gadigal and Bidjigal Land

As a Social Innovator, Jemima’s role is to support the implementation of the TACSI action areas and strategy.

She joins TACSI part-time while undertaking a Master of Transdisciplinary Innovation (Research) at the University of Technology, Sydney. In this project  she is exploring the role of futures thinking in experiences of agency and apathy around social challenges.

Jemima has previously conducted freelance research in the social impact and commercial semiotics sector and teaches various courses around systems thinking and social impact at UTS. She is passionate about ensuring systems thinking is accessible to everyone and loves the challenge of translating these concepts for diverse audiences.

Jemima is dyslexic, and while she might occasionally misspell a colleague's name, she believes her dyslexia helps her to grasp and synthesise ideas in new and unique ways.

When she’s not working, Jemima loves playing social soccer, op shopping, bouldering, and pottering around her apartment caring for her indoor plants.

At TACSI, diversity and inclusion is more than a statement; equality and accessibility are guiding principles embedded in everything we do. We strongly believe that it’s the collective sum of all our communities differences, life experiences, and knowledge that enables both ourselves and our partners to come together to tackle complex social issues. That’s why we’re committed to having a diverse team made up of people with diverse skills from all backgrounds, including First Nations peoples, LGBTIQ+, mature-age people, and people with visible and non-visible disabilities, regardless of sex, sexuality or gender identity.
