Jemima Taylor (she/her)

Graduate Social Innovator

Working on Gadigal and Bidjigal Land

As a Graduate Social Innovator, Jemima’s role is to support the implementation of the TACSI action areas and strategy.

She joins TACSI part-time while studying a Bachelor of Communications (majoring in Social and Political Sciences and Public Relations) and a Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation at UTS. Jemima has previously done freelance research and work in commercial semiotics and cultural insights, and is excited to explore how this emerging field could be applied to the social sector.

Jemima has dyslexia, which she believes helps her grasp people, situations and ideas quite quickly and see the world in a slightly different way. She’s particularly interested in transdisciplinary systems thinking, co-design and implementation, and the importance of viewing current and future complex challenges through a systems lens. She’s also passionate about seeing resources around systems thinking become more accessible.

When she’s not working or studying, Jemima loves op shopping, going for walks with friends and pottering around her apartment caring for her indoor plants.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians and Owners of the lands in which we work and live on across Australia. We pay our respects to Elders of the past, present and emerging. We are committed to collaboration that furthers self-determination and creates a better future for all. At TACSI, diversity and inclusion is more than a statement; equality and accessibility are guiding principles embedded in everything we do. We strongly believe that it’s the collective sum of all our communities differences, life experiences, and knowledge that enables both ourselves and our partners to come together to tackle complex social issues. That’s why we’re committed to having a diverse team made up of people with diverse skills from all backgrounds, including First Nations peoples, LGBTIQ+, mature-age people, and people with visible and non-visible disabilities, regardless of sex, sexuality or gender identity.
