Alison Sharp (she/her)

General Manager

Working on Bidjigal and Gadigal Lands

Alison (Ali) is a proud Kiwi woman of Maori and Scottish descent. Growing up on Whakatohea and Te-Whanau-a-Apanui coastline in rural NZ, she is a saltwater kid at heart. Her lived experience drives her to push the boundaries of traditional business mindsets and culture.

As a part of our Platform team, Ali provides strategic and operational leadership across all areas of the business to achieve TACSI’s mission. She is an emotionally intelligent, collaborative, and tenacious leader who excels at diving into complex challenges, bringing people together, driving momentum, and navigating obstacles to achieve equitable and just outcomes.

Ali brings over 20 years of experience building and leading teams of co-design practitioners. Before joining TACSI, Ali was the managing director at Meld Studios, one of Australia’s most pioneering co-design practices. Among her career highlights, she is particularly proud of the strategic and operational leadership she provided to enable the Meld team to achieve tangible results in some of the most challenging areas we face today—including access, inclusion, wellbeing, and sustainability outcomes in health, care, education, employment, public transport, built environment, net zero, regeneration, and financial services.

At TACSI, Ali will continue connecting networks of people and organisations to achieve equitable and just outcomes related to health, women, LGBTQI+, and First Nations peoples.

When she’s not at work, you’ll find Ali at home in the garden, or enjoying the outdoors, fishing, paddleboarding or hiking.

At TACSI, diversity and inclusion is more than a statement; equality and accessibility are guiding principles embedded in everything we do. We strongly believe that it’s the collective sum of all our communities differences, life experiences, and knowledge that enables both ourselves and our partners to come together to tackle complex social issues. That’s why we’re committed to having a diverse team made up of people with diverse skills from all backgrounds, including First Nations peoples, LGBTIQ+, mature-age people, and people with visible and non-visible disabilities, regardless of sex, sexuality or gender identity.
