When you’re not at work, what do you get up to?
I spend time with friends, read, draw and play soccer.
What change would you like to see in the world, and why?
I would like to see people really listen to each other. I believe that many of the issues that we face as a society could be solved if we really listened to one another and sought to understand each other’s needs and experiences.
What were you doing before working at TACSI?
I was studying for a Bachelor of Interior Architecture and a Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation (Hons).
Who inspires you, and why?
Lewis Hamilton. He has faced extreme challenges on his journey to become the first person of colour to ever race in Formula 1 and has succeeded to be the greatest ever to compete in the sport. Furthermore, he uses his platform and position to advocate, fund and push for change, standing firm in his belief and supporting the rights of others.
Looking back at your career, what’s been the highlight?
As I am at the beginning of my career, the highlight would be getting employed at TACSI. In my previous pursuits however, it would be completing my Honours Research Project in Creative Intelligence and Innovation.
What are you reading, watching or listening to at the moment?
I am currently reading Sand Talk by Tyson Yunkaporta.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you ‘grew up’?
I loved the beach and the ocean, so a marine biologist.
What’s a book, film or resource that you would recommend to someone interested in social impact?
I would recommend the documentary The Australian Dream about Adam Goodes’ remarkable story that explores a powerful story about race, identity, and belonging.
What’s something on your bucket list?
I would like to travel around Europe, Asia and South America.
