Social innovation is all about community. Working with people, for people. So there's lots of ways that you can get involved. Check out the options below to see which one fits you best.
Whether you're from the private sector, the public sector or the third sector, there are a number of ways we work with partners. We're looking for partners to be case studies for projects, as financial supporters (both for the Centre and for other partners working with us), as inspiration and as capacity builders adding their own special brand of know-how to the work we're doing.
Most of our partners are a combination of all these things and more. So if you (and your company, organisation, department or group) want to be a part of making better lives for all Australians, contact us. We'd love to talk (and work) with you.
One of the best things about working in the social innovation space is that there is so much to do and in a diverse range of spheres. We're always on the look out for volunteers and interns. Passionate people with the drive to make a difference through their efforts. We need those kind of people to work with us - we know there's lots to learn from them and they can learn from us too.
So if you're interested in being involved on any of our projects (or with the Centre more generally) keep an eye on current opportunities here or drop us a line. There's sure to be a role that suits your skills and experience.
Have you got a big idea and don't know how to take it to the next step - getting it off the ground? We're always interested in hearing from changemakers about how they can make a difference through their social innovations.
In 2010, the best way to get your idea out there is to participate in the Bold Ideas, Better Lives Challenge where you'll not only get your idea heard but you'll get feedback from an amazing range of judges and the possibility of developing your idea all the way through to implementation.
If you're not sure whether your idea fits the bill, contact Erin Green (Challenge Project Leader) and she'll be happy to talk it through with you.
